Imagine owning the entire product strategy of a fast-growing industrial e-commerce company: deciding what goes on the shelf, building the team, and creating the systems that make it scale. Not from the sidelines, but hands-on, with a small team where you set the direction and do the work. You know industrial products because you've studied them, worked with them, or built your career around them. Now you want to turn that expertise into something bigger: a professional, data-driven product operation with your own private label brand. If that sounds like your kind of challenge, we're looking for you.
Who Are We?
At Tameson, we simplify industrial supply. Our mission: make sourcing technical products (valves, fittings, sensors, pneumatics, and more) easy and accessible for every project. We're a Dutch e-commerce company with an international team, shipping globally and growing fast. We invest heavily in automation and AI to improve both customer experience and how we manage our product catalog. Our stack includes Shopify Plus, BigQuery, Looker Studio, Pimcore, Odoo, and a growing set of AI-powered tools. We believe great product data, delivered fast and accurately, is what sets us apart.
What Will You Do?
As Head of Product, you own the entire product domain: what we sell, how it's presented, how it's documented, and how it scales. This is a leadership role, but not a delegating-from-a-distance one. With a small team, you're in the weeds yourself: writing specs, reviewing data, solving problems alongside your team. You combine strategic thinking with the ability to personally deliver results.
Product Expertise & Assortment Strategy You decide which product categories, brands, and product lines we add, expand, or phase out. This requires real product knowledge: you understand how industrial components work, what customers need, and where the market is heading. You build business cases with margin analysis and market potential, and you keep the roadmap aligned with our growth strategy. You're not just managing a list. You're making informed, commercial decisions about physical products.
TamesonPRO: Private Label Development A key part of this role is leading the development of our private label brand, TamesonPRO. You define product specifications, set quality requirements, and run product testing to ensure our products meet professional standards. You produce test reports, collaborate with Marketing on launch materials, and work with the Sourcing team to identify capable suppliers. TamesonPRO is a strategic growth driver, and you make sure every product we put our name on is something we can be proud of.
Product Data & Content You own the product data infrastructure: ETIM classification, category hierarchy, attribute definitions, SKU logic, and frontend navigation. You ensure every product page meets quality standards, including descriptions, images, technical specifications, datasheets, and compliance documentation (CE, RoHS/REACH, PED, UL where applicable). You establish data governance, drive automation for data collection, enrichment, and distribution, and make sure product information is complete, accurate, and consistent across all webshops and languages. You're comfortable using modern tools and AI to convert product data into high-quality content at scale.
Team Leadership You lead and grow the product team (currently 2 FTE, growing to 3–4). You set goals, provide coaching, run performance cycles, and hire when needed. But with a team this size, you're also a working leader: you pick up tasks, unblock your people, and deliver alongside them. The goal is to build a team that operates effectively and grows in capability over time, while you personally keep driving output today.
Cross-functional Collaboration You work closely with Marketing on content guidelines and product presentation, with IT on tooling and automation, with Sourcing on supplier and compliance topics, and with Sales on pricing and customer feedback. You report proactively on roadmap progress and team performance.
