Job description

Become our Lead Fullstack Developer and help build the future of e-commerce!

Are you a driven engineer who loves building, solving problems, and innovating? Do you get energized by a dynamic environment where your ideas have direct impact? Want to work with the founders and play a crucial role in a small, fast-moving team? Then we're looking for you!

Who are we?

At Tameson, we simplify industrial supply. Our mission is clear: to make sourcing technical products for every project easy and accessible, while continuously innovating in service and ease of use. As a growing e-commerce company, we see enormous potential in automation and LLMs, not only to improve customer experience but also to accelerate and simplify our own development processes. We work on Shopify Plus, implement smarter workflows, optimize UX/UI, and want to establish the best tooling and architecture for scalable growth. Driven by our high customer satisfaction, we continue to add new products and functionalities monthly to realize our international growth ambitions.

What will you do?

  • Lead and innovate: Take the lead in the development of our Shopify Plus e-commerce platform across six domains. Work with the founders to determine the upcoming goals, implement best practices, and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the Shopify ecosystem.

  • AI and LLM integration: Explore and integrate LLMs and AI to improve your own work or our internal workflows for business processes and customer experiences. While this isn't the main component of your role, we value enthusiasm and initiative in this area.

  • Hands-on development: Work on front and backend, integrate with external systems, and prioritize CI/CD, testing, and code quality. Build and improve features that add direct value.

  • Collaborate and decide: Work closely with a small multidisciplinary team to set priorities that align with our ambitious goals. Take responsibility, get full freedom to make decisions, and help our team work more effectively. Independent of your age or experience, your practical skills and drive are what matter most.

  • Modern tools and methods: Use CI/CD pipelines, E2E testing, and ensure reliable code through automated tests and code reviews. Use tools like Algolia, React, GTM/GA4 server side tracking, Google Cloud (bigquery/dataform), Python and Dify (LLM flows)

Job requirements

Who are you?

  • Technically skilled: You have a strong background in web application and JavaScript programming, particularly within the e-commerce sector. Experience with React, Node.js, and the Shopify ecosystem is a plus.

  • AI and LLM enthusiast: You're interested in AI and Large Language Models and see opportunities to integrate these into business processes and customer interactions.

  • Proactive leader: You enjoy taking responsibility, leading projects, and guiding team members. You're a problem solver who can steer projects from concept to realization.

  • UX/UI focus: You understand the importance of excellent user experience and can translate this into intuitive and effective interfaces.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset: You're pragmatic, results-oriented, and feel at home in a dynamic environment where you can work both independently and as part of a team.

Why choose Tameson?

  • Direct impact: Your code, choices, and ideas have noticeable effects on our growth.

  • Collaboration: Work directly with Tameson's founders. Your input will shape the future of our company and the industry.

  • State-of-the-art tech: Work with the latest technologies in e-commerce, automation, AI, CI/CD, and E2E testing. We encourage continuous personal development and innovation.

  • Team culture: Become part of a team that values collaboration, professional growth, and fun. We regularly organize team activities, both online and offline, to stay connected and inspired.

Note for remote applicants:

The job requires to be available minimally 32 hours per week, with work scheduled during Dutch office hours. If you apply for a remote position and you're located outside of the Netherlands, you can join us full-time as an independent contractor. To some extent, we ignore geography in order to find the best person for each role. Due to the substantial differences between labor and business laws in each country, the easiest way to hire talent outside of our registered countries is through freelance contracts.
