Internship - Frontend Engineer (HTML5, SCSS, JS, Shopify)

Frontend Engineer Intern Wanted!

We are looking for a proactive and ambitious intern to join our development team. The position is open to work experience, traineeship, or graduation assignment if it aligns with our company goals. As a frontend engineer intern, you will work on shaping and further developing our Shopify Plus e-commerce stores. We are selling in many countries and languages, so it's a great opportunity to gain experience in international e-commerce.

HTML5, (S)CSS, JS, React, Shopify Plus, Liquid

• Assist in the development of our Shopify Plus e-commerce stores by shaping and further developing our online stores.
• Develop a detailed technical understanding of the work happening in assigned projects and get the responsibility for feature implementation from start to finish.
• Learn about integration with other backend systems. We manage content and data in our PIM system (Pimcore, PHP Symfony), orders and inventory are managed in our ERP system (ODOO, Python).
• Maintain and enhance Shopify Plus e-commerce stores, following best practices and optimal use of the latest platform improvements.
• Gain experience in working agile, participate in Scrum and Sprint planning, define tasks and provide technical input (approach, estimate).
• Suggest and define Stories/Tasks for further improvement of the user experience, SEO, performance, automation, and integration.

Requirements:

• You are a recent graduate or student pursuing a degree in computer science or similar, alternatively you pursue another study but you have relevant experience and online certifications in this field.
• You have a good understanding of HTML5, (S)CSS, and JavaScript, and experience with React, Liquid and Shopify Plus is a plus.
• You are eager to learn, proactive, and able to work independently and in a team environment.
• You have excellent communication skills and are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
