What we're looking for

We’re looking for a full-time (remote) IT project manager with agile / scrum experience that can lead our software development team.  You'll be joining a fast growing e-commerce scale-up and you can immediately make a lot of impact on the business as you'll take over this responsibility from the CTO with which you'll be working intensively.  You'll be involved in the building of an enterprise level ecommerce system - analyzing requirements for new features, defining stories and tasks, teambuilding and supporting the team members to deliver, communicate and prioritize effectively. We work with both internal team members as well as external agencies.

Systems we are actively developing and integrating:

  • ecommerce/frontend:  Shopify (JS / Liquid)
  • Product data:  Pimcore (PHP symfony)
  • ERP:  ODOO (Python)

Projects and tasks managed will span these systems (often >1 system is involved in a feature) and tasks will be managed in ClickUp,  so any development experience in these languages or systems is a pre (but not required)

We’re scaling fast both in terms of products as well as internationally and for this we are continuously developing new features and integrating our IT systems.

What you will be doing

  • You will manage our IT development projects, tasks and lead the team to further develop the Tameson online stores and IT systems. • You will be the lead project manager for our IT developments, including new frontend features and integration of the back-end systems or other 3rd party systems. Within our setup all content and data is managed in our PIM system (Pimcore) that can manage multilingual/store content and push this to shopify.  Orders and inventory are managed in our ERP system (ODOO).  You will gather requirements from all stakeholders and help to clearly define and plan tasks.  You make sure the final product matches the business requirements.
  • Work together with the CTO to define priorities, requirements and new features for improving our ecommerce stores and internal systems while adhering to best practices, optimal use of latest available technologies.
  • Work agile, participate in Scrum and Sprint planning, define tasks and provide technical input (approach, estimate), control QA process
  • Perform functional and code reviews before deployment, keep team members accountable and involved.
  • Have a detailed technical understanding on work happening in assigned projects, manage a feature implementation from start to finish
  • Suggest and define Stories/Tasks for further improvement of the user experience, SEO, performance, automation and integration

Important: You can join us fulltime as an independent contractor. To a large extent, we ignore geography in order to find the best person for each role. Due to the substantial differences between labor and business laws in each country, the easiest way to hire talent outside of our registered countries is through freelance contracts.
